My bluebird stained glass suncatchers are too cute! Did you know that spotting a bluebird is usually recognized as a symbol of joy and future happiness? The symbol of the bluebird is found in many cultures and dates back thousands of years. It can also represent hope, cheerfulness, prosperity, good health, and renewal coming your way. Who wouldn’t want some of that? Send this suncatcher to anyone who needs a reminder that they are loved and you wish them happiness.
I lovingly hand-paint the eye on each bird with oil-based glass paints. The paint is scratch resistant but not scratch-proof. Wire is used for the cute, stubby legs and wing outline. The translucent blue glass has a slight texture to it which adds a look of small “feathers” on the suncatcher. A pale blue ribbon is attached to the bird for easy hanging.
makes it easy for you to send this to friends and relatives. Send someone a little bit of happiness today!
The original glass I used reminds me of the the Eastern Bluebirds in my backyard. The new, light blue glass version reminds me of a Mountain Bluebird with its brighter hue of blue. See photos for comparison.
