Each fish is about 5-6 inches long, the bend varies from fish to fish. I make each and every one of these individually so each one is totally unique. I cut out the fish shape then mold it in the palm of my hand - on quite a lot of the fish you can still see my palm print in the clay!
Some of them are glazed, and some unglazed. The ones with gilding on are always unglazed so the gilding has a good grip.
As you can see these make a fantastic show on the wall, from small yin and yang black and white group of two, to massive groups forming a whole shoal. Since they are porcelain they are very durable while being lightweight. I put very strong bond double sided sticky tape on the back to fasten to the wall, and this works very well. I have hung weights off fish stuck to the wall this way to test how well they bond, and it is very well indeed.
They are happy in any environment, from living room to bathroom. The gilded ones are most delicate as the gilding can be scratched, and I would suggest a gentle wipe with a damp cloth is the best way of caring for them.
